This is a simple holder for 6 eggs. You could double it to 12 eggs in the slicer, if desired; but this fits nicely on the Prusa i3 MK3+ plate.

There are already some nice egg holders out there, but I wanted something a little simpler and also a bit smaller. I found that larger egg holders make it difficult to get the egg out; the parabolic shape of the egg is difficult to grip.

This one is on the small side, deliberately; I gave it 45mm diameter so that it would let my (backyard chicken-layer) eggs sit slightly high, making it easier to pick them up. It just has to sit on the kitchen counter.

If you want to carry eggs around, I would advise enlarging it in the slicer by maybe 10%, then print two copies and one serves as a cover. There's already a nice design out there with little wells for magnets, so that's the one to get if you really need a carrier. My design is very light and simple.

It seems sturdy enough but I wouldn't try to twist or bend it because it might break apart. Anyway… enjoy!

UPDATED: I found the original design was too tight for larger eggs, so I've added spacers, which I think will also improve the stability.

NOTE: You may also find it prints a lot better face down (as set up for you in the 3MF file). It needs a bit of support in each egg well, also set up already. I have found that removing the supports is a pain so maybe if you are a support expert, or can use the newer types of supports in the latest PrusaSlicer, you can improve on that. Leave a comment!
