These kind of tools are used to easily mark commonly used measurements when sewing (e.g. seam allowance, hem).
I already have a similar store bought tool, but it lacks two distances I frequently use. So when I found the original one it occurred to me that I can actually just print one myself! (yeah, bloody 3d printing beginner - haven't yet developed much of “I can do it myself” instinct kicking in as soon as I see something - as I do have in sewing for example - but getting closer each day)
Tool description:
- metric units of 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 mm
- engraved numbers instead of placing them on top (figured they might be easier to read)
I also added the SketchUp file for SketchUp users' convenience.
Have fun printing, measuring and sewing!
