If you live an a house or apartment with old windows with tracks, you may be using the classic $3 security trick of placing a dowel rod in the track to prevent someone from easily and silently opening the window. But it's always been kind of a pain to reach into the track to remove the dowel when you want to fully open the window. I used to use a tab made of masking tape, but I thought that looked cheap. This five-cents-worth-of-plastic fitted tab looks pretty nice in my opinion, and is a better option.
I've included .stl files in .5mm increments from 7.0mm to 13.0mm. If none of these are a perfect fit, try using your slicer to scale the model slightly up or down. Additionally, I've included the original openscad file, and with a one-line text edit you can create any size tab you want.
P.S. This model is one of the most trivial things I've ever created… but it's also pretty useful. If you are learning how to model things, this would be a good beginner project to try to clone.
