I recently added Mist King system to my Dart Frog vivarium, but I wasn't sure where I wanted to mount my nozzles. Instead of cutting a bunch of holes in my screen top, I created these magnetic holders.
I used 25x5x3 magnets. Specifically, these magnets on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YCWKBMP
I have been very happy with how this is working. I have thin lexan over the mesh screens and even through the screen and the lexan, the bond is fairly strong and I am not concerned about the nozzles falling.
EDIT: Some have brought up the concerns with the neodymium magnets rusting and leaching copper and zine into a vivarium, and that is a very fair point. I will leave these models up, but I think this approach is likely best for planning nozzle locations and then drilling/cutting your vivarium lid for a permanent mount, as I am planning to do.
There are 3 pieces:
- Hook 1 & Hook 1 Base - This is for holding the nozzles
- Hook 2 & Hooke 2 Base - This is for holding the tubing
- Corner 1 & Corner 1 Base - This is if you want to have your mister tubing enter your tank in the corner.
