I printed the box in resin and later spray painted the exterior. I also made cushions out of foam and velour fabric for the inside but dont have any pictures of it since i gave it away.
Printing in fdm should work fine but you will probably need supports for the top part.
You should be able to print it without support if you slightly modify the top and bottom and use a chamfer instead of a 90 degree angle for where the top and bottom parts meet but i dont know how that will change the structural integrity or fit of the parts so i decided to keep things simple.
Feel free to make any improvements or changes to the design, this is the first time im making this kind of thing and im sure there are better ways to do it :)
