When I got my Framework laptop, I did not just get enough extension cards to fill the 4 slots in the laptop. I got enough to handle several different use cases that I could imagine.

When they arrived, I decided that the containers they were shipped in would not survive long in my backpack. This design is the result.

I have mostly experimented with 1 and 2 card containers. I also supported both the normal card size and the ethernet extension card. These were all designed using OpenSCAD.

I am not including the design file at the moment, as I am still tinkering with it.

There are two “sets” of designs, to accommodate different printers. The default design works with my Prusa i3 MK3S, and has pretty tight tolerances. The “loose” versions end in ‘_l’ and use 0.25mm spacing in the hinge to work with older printers.
