Description

When I was a kid, I used to love an animated series called ”Babar the Elephant”. I created a simple water sprayer for my kids which had a clear resemblance to the character. It turned out to be a great hit during bath time. Now I decided that I wouldn’t dare to leave my wife without her share of my nostalgia from three decades ago, so I created a ring holder based on the same shape.

You can read more about Babar here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babar_the_Elephant

Usage

Slide your rings to the trunk of the elephant when you go to bed, have a shower, or do the dishes. No more lost rings as you always know where to find them!

The crown is also a good place for storing small earrings.

Printing

The print is super simple. No supports required, just slice the .stl files with your preferred layer height and you are ready to go.

You can also use my .gcode files if you don’t want to slice yourself.

Assembly

You can just push the crown into the body and let it be held together with friction, but I would recommend to first fill the model with sand (or something else) and use a drop of superglue to attach the crown.

Adding sand makes the model fantastically solid, and the superglue prevents you from getting sand everywhere if you happen to knock it over.
