This work is a remix of the 3D Printing Professor's (@3DPrintingProfessor) PrintABlock system. The classes here enable you to create custom sized blocks as follows:
from build123d import *
from printablock import Connector, Blockblock411 = Block(4, 1, 1)
connector = Connector()
block411.export_step("block411.step")
connector.export_step("connector.step")
block411.export_stl("block411.stl")
connector.export_stl("connector.stl")
from printablock import Connector, Block
One can easily create fully custom PrintABlock components by using the Socket object to create PrintABlock connector sockets on your model as done in the Block class in the printablock.py module.
Note that the Connector object has a spring_thickness parameter that will allows for more or less flexibility which can be important when scaling the blocks.
See build123d for information on the build123d CAD system. Ensure that this file is in your working directory when generating your custom blocks.
