My frind gave me his broken headphones to fix as a fun sideprojekt. Turned into a very long learning experience. First I tried to model the part myself from scratch but the shape of this piece is incredible comlicated and has no points to mesure what so ever. I then tried to 3D scan it myself by taking lots of photos (Photogrammetrie, OpenScanProjekt) but never got sufficient results. The final solution was taken using a commercial 3D scanner.
Printing
It prints nicely upright with tree supports for the screwpoints and overhangs. You need to add negative volumes in the screw holes because the scan didnt captured the whole dept of the holes.
I included the “raw” scaning file. It still has holes in the survace and needs fixing. This all can be done in Prusaslicer (right click on the model → fix using netfab)
Personally I just removed the supports and left the surface how it came out. Technically a nice finish could be achieved by sanding and painting.
The left and right part are the same but mirrored the scanned file is the right part. To make the left you can just mirror it in the PrusaSclicer
