A modular system to hold a cane in place to a table. Future update for more items like hiking sticks, crutches, etc
My original Adjustable Cane Holder was remixed and a dovetail component was added to the clamp and the cane holder so that a modular system could be created! Citation of the clamp used in the model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1673030https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1673030
I still need to do a test run to see how the pieces function together. The pieces do fit together, just needs a usage test still, which will be completed soon.
Images are from version 1 (v1). Updated v2.1 files are recommended since it will be more consistent with future updates. Pictures will be updated with v2.1 after printing.
Printing notes:
- The screws need a brim to print
- 60% infill (this allows for the clamp to be further tightened and is more stable)
- no supports needed (using supports is actually unhelpful for most pieces)
- Theoretically you shouldn't need it, but if the dovetail is giving you trouble, you can use Paint on Supports (in Prusa Slicer) in that region - but do not use supports in the screw hole, it messes up the threading
Recommended files:

Assembly:
Thread your chosen screw into the clamp. Snap the clamp protector on to the screw tip (using a surface like a table can be helpful to get enough force for it to snap into place). The clamp can now be screwed on to a table.
The triangular part facing away from the table is where the second piece will vertically slide in. Line up the triangular hole in the cane holder above the previously mentioned part of the clamp and slide it down. At this time, it is ready to hold a cane!
