…::: THE WORD G A M E :::…
Description:
Schools out? Nothing to do but watch youtube or series ? Why not engage the whole family in a fun, educational and entertaining word/letter puzzle game for all ages? Simple and intuitive. Easy to learn. Make your own rules or use the ones below. The game can be played using a single board/set of letters, or you can print multiple boards/letters and give each player their own play board. You can play with single set of cake pieces letters or print more of single letters if you prefer that.
How to play(suggestion only, make your own “rules” as you like):
- Start with all the letters upside down (both the small circular ones and the “cake pieces”).
- Nominate one to pick the middle letter. This letter is placed in the middle slot of the board and must always be used when building the words later.
- There are a total of 8 “cake pieces” to be filled. Each participant picks one cake piece each and place it randomly on the board. Once filled, the game is ready to start.
- Decide who starts (the youngest, the blondest, the boldest… or pick a random)
- Each player gets to try to build one word before the round goes to the next player. If the player is not able to build a word after e.g 1 minute, the turn goes to the next player and so on until noone is able to build any more words. Each word is noted down so there will be no doubt what words are allready used or not.
Scoring:
Again, you can make up your own rules, so the ones I suggest here is only a suggestion:
- Simply count the numbers of letters in each word and give each letter a score of 1.
You can also do like in e.g. Scrabble and give tough letters (like X, etc) higher score. All up to you.
Parts:
- Board (the playboard itself)
- All middle letters (all the round buttons with letters to be placed in middle in one file)
- All side letters (all the “cake piece” letters in one file)
- Single letters folder (Separate "cake piece" letters A-Z in case you want to print more of a specific letter)
Print instructions:
Easy print. Standards settings, no supports, no rafts/brims (depending on how your bed adhesion is)

Happy printing and enjoy a fun time with friends and family :-)
