This is an OpenSCAD script to generate a fully functional pin tumbler lock.

The only extra hardware required is some pen springs. For the lock shown here you will need 5 springs, mine were 24mm x 4.5mm in size.

The script has a number of features which can be controlled using the OpenSCAD customizer. The lock was printed using PETG on a Prusa Mk3 printer. I have also included the STL's for the lock as shown.

Supports are required for the lock body, core and key. Printing the parts in different colours allows the operation of the lock to be clearer.

The pictures also show a real pin tumbler lock and key for scale. The 3D print is much larger than the real lock whcih makes it great as a fiddle toy or to demonstrate how a real lock works.

I made this for fun and have printed it sucessfully. There are a number of close fitting mechanical parts and I recommend the use of a well tuned 3D printer to make this.
