Having tried alternative spool holders for the Easdry I have had trouble with the spool slipping from its positioning and ruining prints. I also found it frustrating not to be able to easily adjust for spools of differing widths and so designed a simpler, rod based, holder.
I have used 10mm x 4mm bearings and a 3mm x 74mm steel rod in the pictured model. I have also included a file for use with 13mm x 4 mm bearings and a 5mm x 74mm rod.
The height is set to centre the spool on the original holder, to prevent added friction. If making adjustments to the STL you may want to preserve this measurement.
