I really like the Logitech Z407 2.1 system, but due to the fact that the bass box was just a black cube which did not fit very well in my more light deco, i wanted to spruce things up with some white self-adhesive film, but the edges kinda looked like s**t and ripped fairly easily by just looking at them. And i wasn't able to cut the film with s scalpel that neatly around the bass hole at the front so it looked actually “round”. So i fired up Onshape and fumbled around a little. In the end, i had 2 frames for the top and the bottom of the box to hide/protect the corners and a ring around the base hole. I printed mine in white (top/bottom) and in dark grey (hole), but you certainly can go crazy and color them as your heart desires. :) More or less an extreme “niche-thing”, but hey, maybe someone has fun with it.
If you want to modify it, go crazy … if you would like some modifications, feel free to contact me an i will see what i can do.
Printed them in PLA on my X1C.
PS: for applying the film at the backside, you could remove the back-cover, slap on the film and then screw the cover on top of it so you get nice edges (something i have just realized and have failed to do myself… For my part, i have chosen to ignore it for now du to being on the back and i will never see it, but i would recommend it doing right from the start.
