This is a collection of models I made for delivering a solid-state chemistry lecture course.
The hemisphere models should be printed in pairs and glued together to demonstrate the ABA and ABC (or beyond!) close packing. I've included the smaller versions (6, 3 and 1) so that you can construct tetrahedra, octahedra, or even a ccp unit cell.
The ball-and-stick unit cell models require supports to print, but when combined with the interstitial sites, are fabulous for demonstrating where the sites are in 3D space. I printed these at around 300% volume so they could be seen from the back.
The spacefill model was very robust so I was able to print multiple and pass them around the lecture hall during problem sessions.
