The rinse aid plug in my Whirlpool dishwasher had fallen out during a cycle and landed on the heating element and subsequently melted. Decided to try my hand at modeling and printing the plug instead of finding a replacement.

I printed my size test versions in PLA with a 0.4 nozzle at 0.2mm layer height with 10% infill, and after a few tries, I got the sizing right. Though it is still a very snug fit. The PLA version printed pretty well.

The final version was printed in PETG (for the higher heat tolerance) at 0.15mm layer height and 100%. Hoping the PETG will hold up to the heat of the dishwasher. If not, I will eventually try another print with ABS or something with higher heat tolerance. But, while it still works with the PETG, it doesn't look pretty. I might try to mess with it more. I'm not experienced with PETG yet.

It definitely needs supports. The photo is of the PLA print before I added more height to the twist handle. The extra height was definitely needed for me anyway. It was a little tough to twist the cap in the dispenser without it.
