In addition to scaling it up, I remixed the base to use a 6mm x 3mm round magnet (it's all I had on hand and is a bit stronger for the larger size). I scaled the spring to 148% for a more comfortable fit. Everything assembled easily with CA glue.
The magnet inserted firmly into the base with just a friction fit. I recommend inserting it before gluing the spring so it's easier to handle.
