This is a machine to convert 3mm filament to 1.75mm. From the pictures, you can see that the entire thing was more or less temporary. It worked great, until I ran out of 3mm filament. Converted a couple spools and then disassembled it. Kind of regret that decision.
It works by controlling the speed of both extruder motors. The ratio will convert 3mm to 1.75mm. Filament thickness is not automatically measured. It depends on the diameter of the input filament.
Yes, this method works great. As long as your Input filament is decent in quality, you can expect a good outcome and prints are good in quality. (Not prusament good, but normal filemant good)
