Hakko 633 Sidecar

Someone mentioned that they like the sponge and I do too. So thought that why not have both?? This model holds two of the Hakko 599B pots. It uses cheap 10x2mmish “fridge magnets” to securely attach to the bottom of the stand - I used these because Amazon sent me some even though I ordered a different size.

Printing

I don't think anything matters much. I just used PLA, probably best to scale to 100.5% if you use ABS/ASA. No supports, very low infill is fine as long as your printer can bridge the top surface. I printed with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.4mm layers, 5% infill Aligned Rectilinear, and a fun top fill (Hilbert Curve and others). Don't forget to add a Pause M601 for magnets (see image).

Versions

V5 is the initial version, which includes pockets for internal magnets on the back - you can ignore those if you don't want to use them. The magnets are intended for a second design coming which is for a detachable stand to hold additional TS100/Pinecil tips.

Design Notes

The exposed magnets are to stabilize it on the iron stand, but the pot also holds it in place. They are thru-holes in case during assembly you need to remove the magnets. Otherwise though, you should glue them in. Maybe I should have also made these internal magnets, maybe next version.

I didn't do much at all to make this stylish, maybe I will make a new version to make it a little less boxy.

Generally I'll upload STL, 3MF, F360 files. You may need these if you want to use different magnets, I simply designed this for the excess magnets I had around.

Related Models

I also have a design for the Hakko 633 to hold the Pinecil better. And following this upload I will make the magnetically attached box for tips.
