John Winans, a well-known retro computer designer, created a compact Z80 computer board with I/O, RAM/ROM, all on a 100mm x 100mm PCB. I couldn't resist such a thing, so I ordered a PCB. While I waited for the board to arrive, I designed two small cases for it:
- The 2063-Z80 base system case
- The 2063-Z80 with the VDP Retro video board attached
Both cases are minimal and allow access to all the I/O ports, and are designed to use small M3 x 4mm heat-set inserts in the lid
For the VDP case, you will need:
- 4x M3 x 32mm SHCS screws coming in from the bottom.
- 2x M3 x 14mm spacers
- 2x M3 x 26mm spacers
For the smaller case:
- 4x M3 x 12mm SHCS screws
- 4x M3 x 4mm spacers
Both top covers have Zilog logo designs that you can customize the filament colors if you have a multi-filament printer like the Bambo Labs, Carbon X1.
