I wanted to have a little fun with the latest contest for Office Accessories. I wanted something that was intuitive, functional, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing… And most of all, I wanted something that people would recognize immediately and appreciate for what it is. A great office accessory that just makes you smile. :)
I've actually had something like this sitting on my desk for several years. Ironically, it was a failed print of a ‘hairy’ Einstein. I've had so many comments about it that when I saw the contest idea that I knew what I would do.
The details are included in the 3MF file as a project. It includes a cutting block for the top, no top layers, and I used the Grid infill at about 7 or 8%. The first print was too deep for pens and pencils, so I placed a slab about 6cm's from the bottom and added additional bottom/top layers so the pens/pencils, or whatever, would not fall too deep to reach.
It's a great conversational piece and I love it! I hope you all enjoy it as well…
