This is a disc golf disc grabber! If you lose your disc in a creek or pond or pricker bush or whatever, attach this to a stick and you're good to go. You can support me by using the affiliate links below to purchase extra assembly parts:
Zip ties: https://amzn.to/3KZG5yz
Velcro: https://amzn.to/45QYKEV
Jam nuts: https://amzn.to/3YUG3Of
1/4-20 bolts and nuts for threaded and non-threaded adaptors: https://amzn.to/44xtHwy
10-24 bolts and nuts for non-threaded adaptor: https://amzn.to/3Pennon https://amzn.to/3EglOBa
1/4-20 bolts for duster adaptors: https://amzn.to/45OXhyz
A rubber band wraps around the outside to provide a strong spring force to clamp onto the disc, and a velcro cable tie secures it to the nearest stick you can find while out on the course. The hinges that set the "trap" print in place so there's no assembly (other than rubber band and velcro) and no way for it to fall apart.
This is designed to be printed with 0.3mm layers and a 0.6mm nozzle. PETG is more flexible and will survive car temperatures in the summer. There is a small pocket above the arms that allows straight bridges to reduce drooping. The arms may stick a little if you choose a different layer height. Be sure to orient items so that any teardrop shapes on the holes has the point facing up to prevent drooping while printing.
They're designed to use 1/4-20 hardware that can be purchased at any hardware store. The nut that slides in is a "half-nut" or a "jam-nut".
You're welcome to give the away for free, but please do not sell them.
Thanks, enjoy!
