I wanted something that would be simple to assemble, would look like a picture frame and it would also be multi-usable.

This frame is designed to be easy to print and use. It has a print-in-place hinge for the foot, which supports the frame, but it can also be hung on the wall, either in a vertical or horizontal position. I designed it in Fusion 360. I can not attach the whole project (due to hobby license limitations), but you can import individual pieces to the Fusion 360, if you want.

The frame is made just from 6 parts, and I made it primarily for my driver board, but you can use any driver board if you edit the center piece. You will need just 2 pcs of M3x4 screw if you use my driver board.

You will need to print these parts:

1x epaper_frame_front
1x epaper_frame_center
1x epaper_frame_back
1x epaper_frame_switch
2x epaper_frame_button

You can use 3MF files for epaper_frame_front and epaper_frame_back, as I recommend printing them with a brim.  3MF file for epaper_frame_back file also contain 2x epaper_frame_switch and 4x epaper_frame_button. These are included in more pieces in case you lost some.

You can print it with PLA and use standard Prusa PLA profiles in PrusaSlicer.

I tested this frame with the following epaper models:

  • GDEY075T7 7.5" b/w 800x480, UC8179 (GD7965)

  • GDEW075Z09 7.5" b/w/r 640x384, UC8159c (IL0371)

  • GDEW075Z08 7.5" b/w/r 800x480, EK79655 (GD7965)

I hope that you will like it.
