Update: included TPU feet from Elan

As part of my Lack Enclosure Build for my new MK3S+, I wanted to isolate printer vibration from the table top and reduce noise.

I designed my own feet which included outboard supports on the front of printer to provide additional stability.

Reduction in noise is night and day since the hollow Lack tabletop acts as a speaker cone. I've printed parts as tall as the build volume allows with no issues with layer shift, resonance/ringing, or any other print quality concerns.

Hardware

Requires:

  • qty 12 M3x10 screws
  • qty 12 drop-in M3 3030 nuts
  • qty 6 1.2" isolation feet

3030 nuts from Amazon, you'll need to order 2x packs to do all the feet.

Stick-on isolation feet from Amazon (35 Durometer).

Elan created an excellent remix for the feet to be printed in TPU instead of purchasing them.

Reference

I initially wanted to print these... but the feet I purchased were too large (1.2" advertised).
