While working on CanMod I noticed my children like to play with all the prototypes. My youngest son Charlie wanted blocks that would stack end to end but still connect together with a peg. So we sat down together in OnShape and created what he originally called “Dad Blocks”. We eventually settled on calling them Charlie Blocks after him instead but you may still find references to the old name somewhere.

Based off of the footprint of CanMod so these stack nicely inside of a standard U.S. military .50 cal ammo can for storage.

Printing Notes

You will most likely need supports for the side holes. I've included my PrusaSlicer file that has the custom painted supports that I use.

Fuzzy skin more than just for looks. Helps make the peg fit snugly without getting too stuck in the hole. In my slicer file I have included a blocker that keeps the fuzzy skin out of the text and the holes.

Ironing is enabled on my file but not needed. Just makes it look better.
