Inexpensive canister weight that slides over center 14mm hex post within an aerator.  The idea is to print two of these and fill with concrete to add additional weight to this aerator: https://avionnti.com/products/premium-18-inch-rolling-lawn-aerator-with-spike-roller

With two filled with quickcrete, it added about 22 pounds of weight to help drive the spikes into harder soil to make the aerator more effective.

Printed in black Polymaker ASA.  Recommend using PETG or ASA to ensure the aerator has UV resistance.  Included is the Fusion 360 and step files.  F3d file includes parameters to tune center shaft offset to allow for proper tolerance to fit as snugly as you want, various diameter measurements, and how thick you want the walls.

Print settings:

  • Layer height: 0.42mm with 0.6mm nozzle
  • Outer walls: 4 (again, note 0.6mm nozzle)
  • Bottom layers: 5
  • Top layers: 4
  • Infill: 10%
  • No supports
  • Perimeter generator: Arachne

In his opinion, he thought all the parameters as is worked best, with a snug fit on the center shaft and enough room for the width of the aerator to allow him to easily reassemble the aerator and in case.  You may want to print the bottom as a guide, and especially watch out for shrinkage with ASA.
