This set of pieces was roughly based on the small wooden chess set that was very common in the Soviet Union in the 1970s (see photo attached of a set I own that I used as a reference).
The bottom of the knight could do with a bit more improvement but I have printed 2 sets of these so far and all have come out quite nicely. The pieces also have cavities to allow for filling with wieghts, see this video from another chess set maker for a great explanation of the process:
Printing with brims for better bed adhesion recommended.
