UPDATE: Added a ramp to the slot of the speedbump (v10) to accomodate the always-sagging cable chain.
UPDATE: Redesigned the cable chain clip, just a little (v5). Much tighter (and a bit more difficult to get on) to keep it from coming off especially on a big (hot) print.
This is another attempt to reduce stress on the cable chain when it gets bunched up in the left-rear corner on the Creality K1. It incorporates a bunch of ideas from other designs (see the bottom for a list of models).
The basic approach is to provide extra space for the cable chain when the head moves into the corner. That requires a riser for the extra space ("speedbump", or slot), but I also wanted the option to have ventilation, or not, without removing the riser. I used my previous K1 sliding riser as the starting point.
To get the cable chain lifted high enough to always enter the slot is problematic. The chain sags, it's the nature of cable chains :-)
To overcome this there is a "lift" in the cable link that attaches to the fixed link on the printhead. The lift is important to get over the lip of the "speedbump" cavity, but it's hard to predict how much lift is needed. Increasing the lift is one way (you can get carried away with too much lift), tilting the lifted chain link is another. I have two versions of the lifted link, one has a much higher lift than the other, both work but the higher one is better at pulling the cable chain up (but not guaranteed). Note that my “lift” cable links do not require disassembly or rewiring, you just remove an existing link (or two) from the cable chain and put this in it's place. There is a slot for the existing wire bundle.
You can also use the stress in the Bowden tube by hooking the Bowden tube to the middle of the cable chain. This is useful, works pretty well, but you have to worry about getting the Bowden "clip" into the speedbump. I designed a "side" version of a Bowden cable chain clip to do this, other examples tend to clip onto the top of the cable chain which can get in the way.
All of these can be printed on the K1, I used an Original Prusa Mini+ for everything but the speedbump (while my K1 was being upgraded). The riser with the speedbump technically fits on the K1 diagonally on it's edge, but it's very tight, and the supports are a mess (I used a much larger printer which allowed me to sit the riser flat). The corner doesn't require supports at all, nor does the riser slide, everything else needs just a little support.
All of these are currently printed in PLA. Really the chain link parts and anything near the print head should be in a temperature resistant material like PETG or ABS.

Cable chain clip (mine is really on the side, no vertical space is taken up, reducing the chance of binding the cable chain in the speedbump slot: https://www.printables.com/model/496694-creality-k1-cable-chain-bowden-clip
