I got a couple mowers from junkyard, both of them had broken throttle bar and cable.
While looking for a way to replacement I come into this video showing how to bypass the stop cable and bar and use a power switch instead, by this mod you wont have to keep tension on the throttle bar to keep the mower running but the mower wont stop automatically if you let it go, so be aware of that and extra careful.
By using this trick I was able to get both of them running with no issues, at first I just zip-tied the switch but soon after I upgraded to a 3D printed support giving a much nicer look.
