I originally designed this as a simple replacement for the stock Spool holder on my Anycubic Vyper, because I did not like the position of the original one and the feeding wasn't very smooth with cardboard spools.
I wanted it to be as simple as possible, so I designt it to snap together, no fasteners are needed.
Later I upgraded the Spool Holder with the filament guide, because the reverse bowden setup gives you even more flexibility where you can place it. But beeing a later addition makes the filament guide totally optional. You can leave it off if you don't need it, i.e if you use the Holder in a drybox setup where the filament is guided differently anyway.
Features:
- Snap-fit design, no fasteners needed
- stable and compact
- bearings are the only non-printable parts required (push fitting PC4-M10 optional)
- Filament guide optional
- Reverse bowden can be installed on the filament guide
What you need:
- printed parts
- 4x ball bearings 608 (22x8x7)
- (optional) push-fitting PC4-M10
Print Parameters:
- General
- Material: PETG
- Layerheight: 0,3mm
- Perimeters: 2
- Infill: 15%
- Guidewasher, Trunnion
- Layerheight: 0,15 - 0,2mm
- Filament Guide P2
- Layerheight: 0,2mm
- Perimeters: 4
- Infill: 20% (aligned rectiliear)
- Rollerpipe
- may need brim
Tips:
- You can add friction pads to prevent sliding on smooth surfaces, especially usefull if you don't use the reverse bowden setup.
- If you use the reverse bowden system, I reccoment to use a push-fitting that you can push the PTFE tube about 30mm through, that way the filament is guided very smoothly
- You can replace the printed Rollerpipes with 85mm long pieces of 20mm PE installation tube
Assembly:
Make sure the flat side of the Guidewasher sits flush with the face of the Trunnion!

Push the Trunnions with Guidewashers all the way into the Rollers, the Guidewasher should sit tight between Trunnion and Rollerpipe

Press two of the bearings into the Sidepanels (the bearings should fit with light pressure)
Snap both Connectors into open side one of the Sidepannels. The step on the Connector must sit against edge of the Sidepanel!

(Optional) If you use the filament guide and want to use a push-fitting PC4-M10, you should screw the push-fitting into Filamentguide P2 before assembly (should be possible to screw directly into the plasic; tested and worked for me / If available use threadcutter to tap thread first)
Assemble Rollers, Connectors and (optional) Filamentguide to one Sidepanel first, then clip the other Sidepannel in place (it can be a bit tricky to align everything at once, be carfull not to snap the latching lugs of, if they don't sit right)
