A simple, easy to print holder for plastic mason jar lids.
This model is a relatively quick print which requires no supports.
The model is also available at OnShape.
There are two distinct models: one for standard jars and one for wide-mouth jars.
The model for the Wide-Mouth jars has a lower cutout window to ensure that it's easier to grip and remove the lids from this model. It also ensures that there's some visual difference between the standard and wide-mouth lid stacks (aside from the subtle size difference)
Recommended Print Setup:
I recommend printing in PLA, but PETG will be perfectly fine too.
I've provided a PrusaSlicer file (*.3mf) which contains a number of suggested print options, but to highlight relevant parts here:
- (At least) 3 perimeters - I used 4
- 0.4 mm Layer Height - it improves print times and the device doesn't need to be super sturdy
- Custom top-layer patterns allow for a unique visual appearance for the inside of the container (see the final image)
