What
This is a simple bag tag suitable for clipping onto a child's school bag, or used as a tag for a set of keys.
It uses a single colour change that can be implemented manually if you don't have an MMU.
You can source suitable split rings from your local hardware store or use parachute cord.
Why
I was asked by a friend to create a simple bag tag with a contrast for the raised lettering.
How
The model is very simple and includes density modification to strengthen the area were a split ring or cord is fixed/connected.
Process and Assembly
- Edit the project file in PrusaSlicer 2.6.1 or greater.
- Edit the text object to suit your needs (or delete the object if no text is desired.)
- Generate the gcode based on your situation and copy to your printer.
- Print (and swap filament as required.
An example gcode for a MK3S+ 0.4mm nozzle and PLA is provided with a single colour change.
Extras
The fonts that come with your system may be a bit ‘meh’. Google has a great font library at the link below. The example tag uses Salsa and prints quite nicely using a 0.4mm nozzle.
