This is a Foam Nade that utilizes 20mm airsoft shells filled with green gas. The most effective ammunition for this design are .50 cal foam balls. No hardware aside from the ammo and green gas shell is required for this design. The Nade features a twisting mechanism on the cap that allows the user to put it into three positions:

  • Detach (Allows for the removal and installation of the cap)
  • Safe (Nade cannot be activated in this state)
  • Boom! (Nade is active and can go off when triggered)

This design is fully printable without supports, and all .STL models are already in the correct printing orientation.

I have additionally uploaded a .STEP model so anyone can adjust the design to their liking.

Operation:

  1. Fill the 20mm shell with Gas.
  2. Fill the MainBody with .50cal foam balls.
  3. Slide the 20mm shell into the main body.
  4. Align the notch on the cap with the notch labeled “Detach" and slide the cap on.
  5. Twist the cap until the notch aligns with “Safe” and store the nade on your equipment.
  6. When ready, twist the cap to “Boom!" and throw the nade so it lands on the cap.
