Ash constructed the Motion Tracker as a tool to help the Nostromo's crew protect themselves against the eponymous Alien in the 1979 Ridley Scott film. In reality, this prop was built from a Panasonic Ranger 505 portable TV covered with greeblies from various sources.

The tracker had a screen on top beneath a distinctive bezel. As far as I can find, the original source on that bevel hasn't been identified. It appears to be from a camera of some sort, with a latching flip-up cover removed. Using measurements from a fan-made casting, I've returned to the source material and attempted to recreate a part closer to the original.

Though many castings have letters embedded in the prop, on the original these appear to be stickers (likely from the original found object). I am including an SVG with suggested outline sizes for designing your own stickers to fit this model.

This model was designed as a commission for Christian Matzke - both an aspiring Nostromo crewmember and Dagon cultist - who graciously has allowed me to offer it to the whole prop-making community. You can check out Christian's work at: https://www.instagram.com/proppingupthemythos/
