General
I wanted a small container to mount near my printer for purge lines, brims and other small bits of trash. I found several options but as always didn't find exactly what I was picturing so I designed this with a couple goals in mind.
- Print easily and quickly without any complex geometries or supports
- Be easily removable from the wall to facilitate easy emptying
I settled on a dovetail wedge style design which works well to securely hold the container when its mounted but easily slides upwards to remove it and empty it.
Mounting Hardware
I sized the 6mm holes to fit some short coarse thread drywall screws I had laying around but you could also mount it with 3m command strips etc. I also included a wall bracket file with no screw holes so that you can modify it to your mounting needs more easily.
Printing
I printed mine in Prusament Chalky Blue PETG with a 0.4nozzle using the input shaper speed 0.2mm layer profile. I recommend a brim on the wall mount due to how thin it is. No supports are needed and all files should already be oriented on the bed as needed.
