The Brompton Seatpost bung is a rubber bung which fits into the underside of the seat post, acting as a cushion to prevent clunking against the ground when it is lowered down.
Before 2016 it was a rubber-part secured with a screw to prevent loosing it.
The newer (and cheaper) model is a simple bung without screw, so many user (inclusive me) lost it after a time.
This model uses TPU for the bung, PLA or PETG for the cone and a M5 screw with washer to secure the bung.
Materials:
- M5x25 Allen-screw
- M5 nut or alternate M5 heat insert (M5x6.4x9.5)
- M5 Washer
Print tips:
- Print in orientation as the STL files.
Bung:
- TPU-95A
- 10 top layers!
- Infill: 10% gyroid
Cone:
- PLA or PETG
- Infill: 20%
It is very useful to smooth down the cone and the bung for easier insert an remove.
