I found releasing and fastening blades on my scroll saw very annoying, when using the original lock nut: Rotating the nut takes ages and when fastening the blade, you always have to find the right position to achieve the correct tension on the blade...
So I designed this eccentric fastener for my Proxxon DS460 sroll saw. Now releasing and fastening the blade takes just a blink of an eye:

Also, if you do not rotate the fastener, the tension when pushing down the lever is always the same. I am so happy with the result!
The lever should also work for any other scroll saw (and any other tool) that has a M6 thread at the fastener.
Print Settings
I recommend printing in PETG using 3 or more perimeters for increased strength. I did use “army green” filament to match the color of the DS460.
To achieve the best result, print the lever lying on its side and using a 0.3mm layer height. Although this means that you will need a local support between the "wings", this will result in a very nice surface you will enjoy to touch:

The lock nut should be printed in 0.15mm layer height.
Additional material required:
- 6.4 x 30mm washer
- M6 x 30mm countersunk screw
- 2pcs M6 nut
Design and Source Code
The fastener has been designed using OpenSCAD. I have provided the source code for download, so you can adjust the design to your needs.
Happy printing!
