Initial version of this was one of my first self-designed products shortly after acquiring my printer. After a few months of design and print experience, and failures of my original design, it was time to re-visit this.
The new design is much stronger, more user friendly and still easy to print. Improvements:
- There is now a strong frame surrounding the whole clip
- The spring for the latch is now protected from users pulling it back too much and breaking it
- It's easier to get a finger under the latch to remove the clip
My recommended print settings:
- PETG or impact resistant filament
- 0.4mm nozzle
- 0.2mm layers (Important to make sure the clearance for the spring latch is maintained from the walls)
- 4-6 perimeters
- 2mm top and bottom minimum shell thickness
- Detect bridging perimeters on
- 25% infill, I used rectilinear pattern
- No brim
- No supports
