I made these to hold laminated standups for tabletop gaming since I had problems with taped bases and binder clips falling over.
There is a blank token which I like for unique NPCs or player characters, and numbered ones for keeping track of generic bad guys / NPCs in a fight.
The base is 30mm wide. Pictures are on a standard chessex battle map.
The slot in the middle is so they can stack together for storage / transport!
TPIS:
Thermal laminated stuff works best, as the laminate will be smooth and slide into the token easily. Plain paper may work but I have not tested it.
The normal tokens have a 0.3mm wide slot which works well for the 5mil laminate sheets that I use. If you are using thicker laminate, plain paper, or using spray on primer that may get in the slot I would recommend trying the wide variant that has a 0.5mm slot.
If you can, leave a little plain laminate at the bottom (like the bandits in the picture) as that will slide into the token slots really easily.
