I have a couple of these ODDVAR stools at home, and after a recent house move, I found that 3 out of 4 of these clips broke – probably due to uncareful handling. These could be replaced with small metal brackets, but I thought it would be a nice modeling challenge to design and print a replacement.
The general shape is similar to the original, but I made some changes to make it easier to 3d print. There are also large (3mm) chamfers on the inner corners to make the thing sturdy, so it hopefully won't snap like the original ones did 🤞
Printing
The best print orientation is to lay the part on its diagonal face (see photo).
I printed this with a layer height of 1.2mm and managed to avoid using supports - the only thing that might print a bit off for you is the tiny pattern on the small shaft, at least the parts facing down - but the whole idea of this pattern is to create a bit of a rough surface so it fits tight in the hole, so I found that even if that happens - it doesn't actually have any negative effect.
