When creating a timelapse using Octolapse in OctoPrint you will probably end up with stringing (see wiki) at the side where you move your extruder while taking the snapshot.
You can use this tower and place it in the near of the position where you want to move your nozzle out of the view.
Steps to prepare your tower (in Cura Slicer):
- load your model into your slicer
- additionally load this tower and place it
- select your model, press
sfor scale and read the Z value - select the tower, press
s, uncheck “Unified Scaling” and set the z value
It is important to adjust the tower to the same height as your model.
You can also adjust the X and Y size of the tower to reduce wall count if needed.
