Skids for the AtomRC Killer Whale fuselage to allow for belly landings and belly takeoffs without damaging the underside of the aircraft. The provided file is cut in half to fit on a Prusa Mini bed, and can be mirrored to print the second part.
Fusion 360 file is included if you want to make modifications!
Printing:
- Any material is fine, I used PLA
- The plates can be printed however you like, I suggest a standard 2 walls and 20% infill
- The STL is universal, and can be printed multiple times with mirroring to create the full length required. See the images, I use two end-to-end on each side.
Assembly:
- Sand the foam before gluing any of the plates in to improve adhesion
- I used UHU Por and there is no sign of the skids coming loose after many flights
