A back scabbard designed to allow you to stow and draw a Red Dragon synthetic training longsword with ease. A slot through the back side allows a cloth belt or similar to be threaded through so that it can be worn across the back (or the waist).
While a traditional back scabbard would require an incredibly long and awkward draw, this U shaped design allows the sword to be removed by lifting it a little over an inch to free the cross guard, after which it can be swung out the side. Despite the ease of draw, the grip on the cross guard still holds under movement. Note that the U shape is designed for a right handed person. You may want to reverse it if you're left handed.
