Primer stick that I must admit offen also ends up as a painting handle for batch painting and painting lager models. Therefore it can double as a painting handle just fine as well
I use poster putting to attach models. For GW models I have added holes for attaching them without the base as well.
I used the cutting tool to make a “one model” sized stick. I think it would make a fine switchable model painting plate and a quick tolerance test as well if you want to test the fit
I have made/added a holder to place the handle inside so it doesn't tilt over as easily. I use poster putting for the bottom too lock it to the table surface
