I just picked up the new Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad for my home office. There are commercial solutions for binding the old Magic Trackpad with the old wireless keyboard, but there wasn't a simple and elegant solution for the new ones.
I didn't want to add significant height or bulk so I made this tray set. I don't know if it works with the Magic Keyboard WITHOUT the numeric keypad, but it turned out great for the one with.
It can be a little tricky getting all 3 pieces set under just right, but once you've got them in the right place they stay keep the two pieces bound together.
They are also symmetrical which makes them ambidextrous. As you can see from the photo, I keep the track pad on my left, and a high resolution corded mouse on my right, but you can flip the pieces to work with the trackpad on the right.
