EDIT 08.11.2023 13:57:
I have redesigned the monopod and now there are no bindings.
Everything fits as it should. Model has been reuploaded
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
EDIT 04.11.2023 16:30:
I have noticed a flaw in this design!
Whole rear stock is vertically tapered so I have to redesign the upper part of the monopod
I will update ASAP and post back, until then, save yourself some filament and do not print!
I'm sorry for the mistake, I haven't noticed it before!
I've changed from “published” to “draft”
Monopod for the SKOUT Epoch which utilises 4 holes under the rear stock.
I'm from Europe so threaded hole for the foot is M10x1,5
I'm left handed so the foot is on the left side of the stock, to convert it to the right side it has to be mirrored in the slicer
As with all 3D printed holes and threads, much is depended on your printer/filament settings and how good your printer is tuned.
I've designed this with tight tolerances for my printer but maybe some X/Y hole compensation will be needed on some other printer
Beside M10x1,5mm threaded rod additional 4 ¼"-20, 25mm (1") long screws will be needed
Whole setup is quite sturdy and stable
I've printed the foot out of TPU but other materials can be used.
For the monopod itself, I've used PLA but for durability outside I would recommend ABS, ASA or PETG for higher temperature resistance in the sun.
Print in upright orientation with support from build plate only
