This model consists of the machine room portion of the Apollo Launcher / Umbilical Tower used to launch the Saturn V rocket.  This is part of the Apollo Umbilical Tower model.  See the parts spreadsheet of that model for a complete list of parts by level required to build the elevator and stairs as many of the parts are the same for various levels.

The machine room sits at level 340-360 above the elevator shaft and contains the equipment required to run the elevator.  Note that the exterior is very accurate and was constructed from the original NASA drawings, however the interior is empty because it is not visible or accessible.
