The telescoping Industar lens (intended for use on 35mm film cameras) can with appropriate adapters be used on digital cameras. An adapter will place the lens at the required flange distance from the sensor, so if the lens is telescoped into the camera body I would not expect the lens to contact the sensor surface but it may contact surrounding structures. That is the case with my Fuji APS-C camera. This spacer clip prevents the lens from telescoping. The Industar 22 and Industar 50 lenses are similar but the locks are specific to each.
