This is a print in place foldable box for the most standard metric drillbits, including the ones needed for tapping and spares for the ‘fragile’ ones. The box is designed to fit any 20x20 printer as efficient as possible, fitting the standard lengths of bits up to the 130mm long 10mm bit
One of the biggest advantages is the low profile (22mm) when folded down and the opening up of the two rows bit for easy access.
The box is blocked from over extending and can therefore even be used while hanging on the wall, depending on the tolerances of your 3D printer. But the recommended use is flat on the table.
The complete list of drillbits that can be fitted:
2x 2mm
2.5mm
2x 3mm
3.3mm (m4)
3.5mm
4mm
4.2mm (m5)
4.5mm
5mm (m6)
5.5mm
6mm (m7)
6.8mm (m8)
7mm
8mm
8.5mm (m10)
9mm
10mm
The Solidworks file is included to be able to adjust for the tolerances for your 3D printer. Right now:
0,3mm for central axis
0,2mm for outer axis
0,2mm for drillbits
Uses about 60 grams of filament.
p.s. As you see I discovered I don't own all sizes, but now I finally have a clear view of the ones I'm missing :)
