QIDI X-MAX 3 Toolhead

Due to the heat issues that could affect the QIDI 3 Series tool head some clogs were redesigned to improve airflow and to reduce the hotend and tool head electronics temperature.

This mod was created for QIDI X-MAX 3, as 3 models are similar and should fit all or some parts, please check before print. 

This is a 3 (or 4 depending on mod) part mod:

• Toolhead front cover, a nicer (at least for me) version than the original. Fan duct improves the airflow and uses a tri-horn design to provide airflow from 3 different directions, improving the layer adhesion.. Different options (currently all those versions are created to use a 5015 standard fan we used a Sunon Maglev… version using the standard fan not tested):
  • v3.a version, including integrated tri-horn fan duct and side auxiliary fan included in the new models and new external design
  • v3.a.mag version, same as previous but added a new part to use with 6x1.5mm magnetic neodymium for easy front cover disassemble
  • v3.b version, same as v3.a but including another top auxiliary fan… per our tests, the best location for this auxiliary fan.
  • v3.b.mag version, same as previous but added a new part to use with 6x1.5mm magnetic neodymium for easy front cover disassemble
• Layer fan lock clip, to improve the lock of the 5015 layer fan
• Toolhead rear cover, improve airflow to decrease electronics temperature

Extra material needed:

• You can use the stock screws to mount the mod
• 5015 standard fan, we used Sunon Maglev to improve airflow and reduce the noise… if you choose the standard fan version
• x8 - 6x1.5mm magnetic neodymium… if you choose the magnetic version

Print in ABS/ASA or similar filament with good temperature support, 4 walls, 4 top/bottom, 20% infill gyroid and tree supports only in bed needed.
